I can totally relate to how you feel. I too couldn't sleep the night before I picked mine up and I was buying a used bike! I'd be bouncing like a super-ball if I was waiting to go get a brand new 08 with that cool grey ghost flame design! Good thing I didn't know while I was waiting on mine that it would be hard to tell I wasn't buying a brand new one. Mine only had 1280 miles on her. I didn't even have to spend any time shining her up once she rolled off the trailer.

You're gonna love her, I just know it!

Congrats. I find myself going out to the garage and just starring at her. My wifes says she's the other woman.

Not sure if you're getting the R*s or the Silverado S:

The diff between the models is:

-The R*s has a flame paint job
-The Silverado adds windshield, passing lamps, short sissy bar and hard bags. If you were to add all of these options, it would add up to $1935. You can find most of these for 25% off pricing online, bringing it down to 1451 + shipping + you'll either have to install this stuff (not hard) or have the dealer do it for extra $$$.

Personally I would just get the R*s and not get the silverado. This way, you get the accessories you want.

The price for the Silverado is 14099, I would low ball him to $10,500 + fees (watch the fees, title, doc, taxes, registration, prep). Watch prep fees and doc fees... this is where the dealer can tack on a bunch. I would try to not pay anything for the prep, but would not pay more than $50 for the R*s or $75 for the silverado. They may try to charge you $300 or more for that too. Also doc fees this includes getting the title, registration and all of that. Pay something reasonable $50-$75.

The price for the R*s is 12599, I would low ball him to $9450 + fees (maybe try a little lower, maybe start at 9K or a little less).

If you're willing to get $3000 worth of accessories from them, they should have no problem doing this. Make sure though that he doesn't screw you on accessories. For example, if you were getting saddle bags, they may charge you full price + install. If you are just getting the accessories and are going to install your self, try to get a 25% discount on yami accessories. This should not be a problem, considering you're spending that much $$$. I'm not sure what after market accessories you may get. Check on the internet for the parts you want and go in informed. Remember, you got the great guys at the RSC to help you out with install questions.

Don't go in there with the attitude that you have to have it regardless of the price. The stealers can smell that. Remember, you have cash and cash is king and you've saved up for it a long time. Be thrifty. Also remember, you are not at a HD dealership. Hopefully, there are several dealers in your area and you can shop around.

They may try to sell you either an extended warranty or a service contract. I'd avoid them, but that's just me.

Don't know why you are waiting 8 days??? Good Luck

thats some good advice thanks

reason im waiting 8 days is actually some BS, ive been putting all my money into one account for over 2 years, so i go to get it and they say with the amount i want to withdraw that they need 8 days to order and have it ready, like i said some real BS, the manager told me had i came the day before she could have ordered that much cash then i and i would have had it yesterday.
