#115426 silvasilv (User) Expert Boarder Posts: 426 master cylinder 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago   Hey guys...has anyone ever tried using a harley master cylinder with the stock roadie from brakes? Platinum Boarder Posts: 1115 Re:master cylinder 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago   I recall reading some place that the size of the master cylinder volume has to be in some kind of percentage with the brakes. Once you exit the window of the ratio the brakes start acting weird, such as not working.. Or not working as they should. I am sure some one will chime in on this, but I know you have to be careful swapping master cylinders. On Harleys the stop light switch is in the switch housing, and the Master cylinder housing and switch housing touch each other. There are different master cylinders for single or dual disc, make sure you get the right one.
