DOD Sticker Mounting Plate 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago
ALL,
  • I am in need of a Mounting plate for DOD stickers Size of stickers is either 6x2 or 4X4. I would like something that has a little bit of styling to it. They make them for state inspection sticker(sold on the yami main web site). But those are too small for DOD's. I put the stickers on the forks of my last bike but the R* is too classy for that...I think everyone here completely understands this(my "better half" however doesn't).
  • Anyone with any info, your thanks is much appriciated in advance.

I would have to say they are out there, might have to have one made. Doesn't your DOD sticker have to go up front anyway?

get a piece of Stainless steel and have it cut and bent, polish it up nice and shiny put it where one of the fork reflectors mount,
or you can take a flat piece and bolt it through the reflector with 2 small stainless carriage style bolts and when the sticker is on you won't see the bolts

I'm surprised they still require a sticker for new vehicles....a lot of places around DC don't use them any more as its a CI issue. They show CAC cards instead. I like the idea of the stainless....sounds like that would do the trick.

I also like the SS plate idea ... but, I would velcro it to the top of the triple trees resting on top of the headlight (just like I have my E-Z Pass mounted - nobody messes with it with the NYPD Detective Badge on it).
