Pesky Stupid Hard To Remove Marks 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago
OK, I have looked all over the site, googled it, asked other bike riders and NOBODY can tell me something that works...
  • I am a little of a klutz. Occasionally when I start off from a stop, my boots will kinda hit the exhaust and leave those NASTY brown marks on the pipes...Everything that I have tried just makes me more frustrated and the marks still laugh at me while I am doing it. I have tried the motorcycle polish that comes in a spray can, tried while the pipes were hot, cold, luke warm. Everything short of taking a brillo pad to it(I really don't want to do that) but I would like to get it figured out before I burn them in permanently...
  • PLEASE I EMPLORE ANYONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO RID ME OF THESE PESKY STUPID HARD TO REMOVE MARKS, throw me a bone....

I've had the same problem with boot marks. First I'll try with a damp Magic Eraser. If that doesn't work, I use a little car wax and extra fine steel wool (000) and very light pressure. Gets the marks off every time without any damage whatsoever to the chrome...

will the wax and 000 steel wool work to remove those small annoying scratches that chrome gets from time to time?
