people who don't know better, use the word Harley meaning cruiser. Like Xerox for copier or copy, like Coke for cola, etc. I don't correct them. Just let it be. Not worth my time... When I get that nice Harley, I just say thanks.

I have a friend with a Victory bike and some girl knew it wasn't a HD though didn't know what it was and called it jap-crap. He corrected her she said it wasn't a HD, but it was American. She still thought it was garbage. You can't fix stupid. IMHO, I really don't care whatcha' ride. Its all good, whether its from US, Japan, or Germany, most are great bikes. If you're happy, I'm happy.

I always tell clowns like that that I was under the impression that you had to actually OWN a bike to be a biker.

In my experience, the people that turn their nose up at my Roadie for not being an "american brand" don't ride anyway. They're just fans of the "image". I get compliments on my R* from fellow riders all the time.

My wife and I pull up to the store on our bikes. She rides a V-star. This punk kid comes out, looks at her bike and says "I don't like Hondas!" My wife says this is a Yamaha. Punk kids says "Well, Honda makes Yamaha!" Wife askes punk kid what he rides and he shuffles his feet and mutters "nuthin" What a friggen mor on!!
