Although its not on my bike when the sig pic was taken, I mounted my bar-code, to access to my gated community, on the undeside of the left passenger floorboard. I took a piece of aluminum about.125" thick, and mounted it with a couple SS screws and nuts with electrical posts to facilitate keeping the rubber pads intact. Very clean and effective.

But I believe the DOD stickers are very clear where they can be mounted.
