Yep the ol Nail polish remover...

Better yet..check out what the girls are using now...

acetone free nail polish remover.....some special ethyl acetate /alcohol mixture...works great and no abrasive...

"use only in well ventilated areas "

I use a product called Blue job does works well melted boot - off color heat gone- polishes to boot amazing stuff put slip ons my wifes royal star 1300 got dicoloure blue and gold (loose clamp) polished it right out!

First buy Blue Job heat the pipes and scrub it will remove it with no problem I swear by it. It won't scratch the chrome!
