Some times my mouth is to big 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago

So I went out riding with my motorcycle club today, the Hiram's Riders, its a branch of the Masonic lodge.
So we are all there, about 45 bikes and there is only two Road Stars there. Mine and the other completely tricked out one. The other fellow comes over and looks at my bike and says "Oh you moved your fuel pump" I said yes, I sure did, I moved it to the bench in my garage, Its gravity fed now.
So he looks at it a bit and says, what happens on the hills?
You know me....
I said I don't run into gravity failure to often on the hills....

Actually, it's a valid question. Head up a mountain pass at 80 mph, loaded for camping, and see if you can maintain enough flow by gravity alone. When I put a vacuum-operated fuel pump on my '01, it was fine commuting to work since the freeway is always crowded around here, but on the hills and also in the open desert riding it was a miserable experience. I put a hi-flow vacuum pump on in a parking lot in the desert in 105* heat rather than put up with that. Good thing it was the parking lot of a bar so I could cool off!
