Kuryakyn Run-Turn-Brake Controller? 3 Years, 8 Months ago
These are in the jpcycles catalog and I like the idea of them, no need to splice any wires! Anybody try this out yet? It changes your turn signals into running and brake lights along with signals.

I have the Kury Triple Whammy, and really like them. Make you seen from behind, and they have cut down on the tailgaiters quite a bit. If they get to following to close, I'll pull the front brake lever a little, and they usually back off. Easy plug and play install.

I put the R-T-B unit on my 06 R*MS. It is a great safety item. Very easy to install, just take off your seat, unplug the wiring harness and plug the unit inline. Takes less than 5 minutes for the whole operation. It greatly improves the amount of light in the rear. It can also be set to flash several times then go steady when you hit the breaks. You will probably(depending on your state's laws) have to change your rear turn signals from amber to red (either red bulbs with the clear lens or clear bulb with red lens).

That controller is absolutely GREAT! I have a 6 inch LED bar across the top of my sissy bar pad and a licence plate frame with the same LED bar across the top & bottom and a 3 inch LED bar on each end. They are all tied together so that I have 8 tail lights and 8 stop lights with 2 turn signals each direction.

I have the triple whammy, on '04+ models, the red covers they give you just don't go with the tail light, you get the R-T-B controller + the red bulbs and a load equalizer. I didn't think I would need the load equalizer, but I did. Without it the blinkers blinked too quickly and irradically. Very simple install, 2 minute install of the controller itself, then bulb changing and that's it. Adds extra safety especially at night. You can use the flasher mode which when the brake is applied makes all the rear lights (tail light and signals) flash a few times and then go steady

I have one that isn't the Kury, and it was a cut and splice version, but I love it! Nothing better than jsut a brake tap, and the lights all flash 4 times rapidly for a "back off"
