It's a decision you have to make. I removed all but the tank badges. I kinda like'em.

Man... I'd like to get different crash bars, bars to protect the bags, a new exhaust, a different seat, a taller sissy bar, and yeah, I'd like to get it repainted. I think I need to sit down and draw up a list and then prioritize it.

You know Frank, that's really not a bad idea. That way you won't be taking off things that you just put on to put the new stuff on. But that's part of the fun, sometimes its doing what you can afford to do, as in my case, I have to kinda budget things out. Lots I would like to do, not much I can afford...lol

I removed the tank badges from my midnight star and have been happy with the decision. Its also fun when folks try to identify my bike without identifying insignia.

I pulled mine...I have the 07 silver with the flames, and really like the look of the clean tank with only the flame on there.

Pretty easy to remove, warm them up, take some fishing line, and work it back and forth behind there. Then some WD-40 or Goo Gone and a little elbow grease and they are gone. Be sure to wax or polish up after that tho!

I think it depends on your paint job. I have
a midnight and I removed the badges. Looks great
all black and chrome. My buddy has the black and
white that came out in 05 or 06 and he removed
the badges and it looked funny like it was missing
something on the tank so he replaced the badges with
some decals.
