I started my kids out about 5 and 7. I had an Electra Glide at the time and would put both of them behind me. They both had the small helmets and loved it. You should have seen the looks we got (yes, it is legal in Missouri, I checked). The only problem I have now is my son is 14 and loves to ride....... he is 6'-0 and 200 pounds!

I think he will be ready for his own bike as soon as he gets old enough. Interestingly enough he is my best rider, the wife and daughter still cant keep there butt's still at a stoplight
