Hey Roadie

I think if you are not going to get along with the stock seat you know it quickly. With me it was around 45 minutes and I had to get off for a while.

Post edited by: Musky, at: 2006/11/22 09:30

I have noticed it all depends on the jeans I'm wearing too. Depending on the make of jeans, and where the seams on the back side are located, my comfort in the saddle is different. Hard to believe that would make a difference but it does.

I thought so too until I rode from Las Cruces New Mexico through El Paso to Mansfield Texas in one day. It was a 12 hour trip, with 11 in the saddle. My arse hurt for two days. If I hadn't had an appointment to keep I would have got a room and a six pack and called the wife and said see you tomorrow.

Now I'm second guessing myself on the seat thing. I'd hate to plan a long road trip and halfway through be miserable because my ass hurts.

The story of my life my friend.

Usually I just depend on my wife to tell me what I'm going to do.

Since it's ThanksGiving I'll say thanks for finding the stock seat comfortable even after shedding some natural cushion I was carrying. Did several 300 mile days with no problem. Oh and Happy ThanksGiving to everyone.

Re:Saddlemen Seats 5 Years, 6 Months ago
Guess I shouldn't complain. If something didn't hurt (I'm 57 and sometimes walking around can make me hurt) I'd be dead. If I was dead my wife would be looking for someone else to drive her around on the Roadie and that would piss me off. So I guess its all good.
