Winterize your R* or yourself? 3 Years, 8 Months ago
I have usually winterized my bikes, but i just didn't get enough riding in this year, so I think I'm going to go buy a whole bunch of " cold weather gear"

You'd be supprised at how little real cold weather gear you need. A great pair of gloves and boots, a suit, a balaclava with a full face and your in.

I ride in some COLD weather here in the burg with that. I wouldn't want to ride across country in it, but for local rides its a gas!!
You will sure get some looks from the other bikers in their cages!!

I know Musky usually puts his in hybernation, but if it snowed and iced over in Alabama I would too. With the higher fuel prices this year I suspect we will see more bikes enduring the cold, at least down south.....My bike gets just as many miles on it in the winter as it does the summer, I have averaged around 1,000 miles a month for the past several years, but I've only had my Roady for alittle over a year and i've got 13,000 on her. I'm ready for the leather season!

Winterize. What's that? Here in Arizona winterize means we can stop wearing our artic cooler vests and start wearing a t-shirt cause it's now cool enough to ride.

Here in Middle Tennessee, it's not so bad. January and February can get pretty bitter... I'm going to ride for as long as I can stand it.

Speaking of winterizing: Dumb question of the day: What do you do to winterize a bike?

thanks to the smart azzes WAY down South we envy you guys you Just kidding....

Cold to me in relation to the bike is about 40*F with no wind. It's like ski-dooing

The problem here in God's cuntry is that they salt the begeezus outta the roads so as soon as the salt goes dowm we don't ride.

Yep, if they didn't have salt they would die. The road people here must have some Canadian blood in em, I have never seen a group of people put so much salt down on a road in my life. I have seen what its done to my truck, I wouldn't put my Star through that.
