GA's Dragon yesterday / Question re: Ultimate seat 2 Months ago
A longtime buddy of mine who rides a Heritage Softail called my up and wanted to ride this weekend. Well, he rides it like 3x a year, so take that for what it's worth. He's got skills since he used to be a motor officer, but I really need to get him out on two wheels more often. Anyway, I asked him where and he said he didn't care.

Yesterday we headed up north a bit and rode the Georgia version of The Dragon.

After that run I have come to the conclusion that I need to do one of several things:
A-Lose weight
B-Slow Down
C-Start saving $$ for new exhaust and floorboard inserts.

The Roadie was sparkin' and dragin' all over the place. But I did buy the darn thing to ride, right?

Met a fellow R* rider at the small store called Walasi-Yi and was able to finally get my bum on a Road Star with an Ultimate Seat. WAY better than stock and the backrest made it even better. He also had the medium risers so I gotta think the posture and position on his bike would be exactly like mine. His was even a Midnight too.

Trouble is I don't want to buy a passenger seat just to get the backrest for me. BTW, he's been running a car tire on the back for a while and says he's had no problems at all.

I'm not looking to change my tires, but his seat was fan-damn-tastic. Anyone know if there is an aftermarket backrest set-up that will work with the Ultimate?

Think Kury now makes a backrest; though not sure if it goes with the ultimate. http://www.kuryakyn.com/products.asp?bn=metric&ci=3678

Hmmmmmmmmmmm didnt see you I ran up there yesterday coming back from my cousins place on Fort mountain just south of Blairsville. I go up and down 129 at least once a week I always stop at Walashi Gap to hit a smoke and talk to other riders and I always change out my chrome floorboards for the oems if I wanna kick up the sparks, beware at night as herds of deer will stand in the middle of the road ...Coug

Cougar,

Next time you go let me know and I'll follow you on 129. I'd love to see how a seasoned pro takes those tight turns. And no riding up there at night for me. Deer or not I need to see those curves if I'm gonna get around 'em.

Flashback, maybe we can meet at the store sometime and watch the young bulletproof sport bike riders tearing up the road for a bit.

Be glad to ride with you anytime as long as its away from the Atlanta .I see you guys have become the city of Dunwoody.Pro? I dont think so but it is a fun ride a nice mix through the farmland straights to Turners corner and up the hill to Walashi Gap.I see you guys are running low on gas...told my wife Atlanta would panic.Between my boat and the jet ski I have 70 gallons waiting to be syphoned off if needed ,maybe Ill take it down there and sell it for 10 bucks a gallon .....Coug

I think these guys are selling for around $105. I have one on my bike and LOVE it. This is just one option for you to get the drivers back rest and not buy an entire seat.
This one attaches to the passenger mounting bracket so you can still take your seat on and off.
