The 950 is a really nice looking bike. The 612 pounds and 26.6 inch seat will attract a lot of people.

Vulcan 900 is a big seller for Kawi around here. Keep in mind that the US is only one market. From what I understand the rest of the world does not share our facination with big cruisers.

Most of the rest of the world doesn't even ride cruisers... mostly crotch rockets. Hard to find cruisers in Europe, though you do see some, even HDs. But hey... who cares about the rest of the world. There, I just caused an international incident. Hope I didn't start WWIII or anything

Gotta feeling the 650 and the 1100 are gonna get put out to pasture. Just gonna have the 950, 1300, and the Roadie.

I believe Yamaha had their dealer meetings going on in Texas this past week end. Maybe I will some updates from my dealer when he gets back.

My dealer was sure to remind me of the 10% jump in prices Oct. 1. That was nice of them.

Yep, I think they are doing a good thing. I know your not going to agree with me, but that's ok.
I have seen to many scooters being sold, that means that a demand for a smaller lighter mod of transport is out there, scooter sales out paced motorcycle sales for a few months if I remember right.
So now your going to be looking at a LOT of first time riders that are not going to want a 1000 pound motorcycle.
I have a friend that rides a 750 Honda, would love to have a R* but its to big for him.
If people had to take the MSP and actually learn how to ride, it might be a different story, but there is going to be a huge portion of the populace that want a smaller bike.
Life goes on, they just don't know what they are missing.....

Impossible to look cool on a scooter.

I agree the 950 serves a purpose, but to me it makes the 1100 look obsolete between the 950 and 1300.

You don't watch American Chopper, do you?
