Gotta feeling the 650 and the 1100 are gonna get put out to pasture.

with the new emissions regs, they´re going to have to.

i was at the bike show in madrid last year and puttering around the yam stand, when i saw the cards on the 650 and 1100 with the exhausts with cat converters.

around 29bhp for the 650, and just under 50 for the 1100

i called the rep over to ask if it was RWHP or not, and he said it was measured at the clutch.

they´ve really gelded them to get them through for this year

Yep, I think they are doing a good thing. I know your not going to agree with me, but that's ok.
I have seen to many scooters being sold, that means that a demand for a smaller lighter mod of transport is out there, scooter sales out paced motorcycle sales for a few months if I remember right.
So now your going to be looking at a LOT of first time riders that are not going to want a 1000 pound motorcycle.
I have a friend that rides a 750 Honda, would love to have a R* but its to big for him.
If people had to take the MSP and actually learn how to ride, it might be a different story, but there is going to be a huge portion of the populace that want a smaller bike.
Life goes on, they just don't know what they are missing.....

Impossible to look cool on a scooter.

I agree the 950 serves a purpose, but to me it makes the 1100 look obsolete between the 950 and 1300.

You don't watch American Chopper, do you?

Not anymore, used to but I got bored with it. Same thing every show. Need to get a bike done, the dad gets mad, the one son is flaky and the other son gets it done. Don't know if its changed. Why did you say this HF?

Mikey, the flaky son, rides a scooter and its pretty pimp. He isn't really into the big bikes, the scooters are his thing. Soooo... he makes a scooter look cool
