Myrtle Beach Bike Week 3 Years, 8 Months ago
For those of you heading to the rally this fall, be sure to do some research! Myrtle Beach is talking about a citywide helmet law and extremely strict noise enforcement. The former is unconstitutional in the the state of SC, but it's going to take a fight to repeal. The latter, I have heard, may include impound of loud pipes. Horry County ABATE is working on the problems now. I hope nobody is going to be dicouraged from showing, but I'll tell you what - just head down to Georgetown County. Murrel's Inlet is a great scene, and you shouldn't have to worry about the hassle from the law so much. Ride on!

Those laws went into efect Yesterday, Mandatory Helmets and Eyewear, noise ordanance violations will cause inpoundment of bike. No more than 2 bikes to 1 Parking space, no alcohol sales after 2am without special permit and the list goes on 15 new laws in all.
I say We spend our money elsewhere and let them have there tourist trap.
