Stock pile 5 Years, 6 Months ago
Got my list together (I think) of goodies I'm going to stock pile for the spring thaw. Looking for input on what I might add or if someone has had a bad experience with any of these things.

Ben's manifold
Stebil air horn
Amsoil air filter
Buck's lowers
Barons chrome lower belt guard
Silverado wide plastic (windshield)
Leather connexion saddle bags
Bucks oil filter protector

Still up in the air about a 42 carb. I might wait until I have the new manifold on and see how she runs. I'm pretty sure I have a manifold leak right now even if I can't find it.

Thanks for any thoughts

You gonna sell your old saddle bags? I regret getting these cheapo leather likes, they're good enough for their intended purpose but I don't care for the look. And we all know it's mainly about how they look.

Hey Roadie

Same deal here. Mine are cheap River road. Not leather. Thin. Floppy. Below 35 they really stiffen up.

And I uh, ran for a while without saddlebag supports and wore a hole in one with the pulley.

Oh yeah, I melted the bottom of the other on the pipe.

So what will you give me for em?

You would not benefit performance-wise from a 42.

Hey Doc

Isn't relly a performance issue. I just think Yami should have stayed with a traditional carb or went to FI. I think the CV is a compromise. On the other hand there's a whole bunch of people who have bikes that run just fine with them. That's why I'm going to wait and see. Might ( and probably will) be just fine.

And before anyone asks for specifics on why I don't like the CV it might just be that I'm an old dog.

Hey Coug

I'm happy with the giddy up she has right now. I'm getting Bens manifold because he actually machines it to fit with gaskets. I'll never change my mind that the stock manifold was the cheap way out an is a sub standard part and always will be. The carb is more for running right. But like I just explained to Doc that might just be me.

Me too Musky I like this bike just the way it is .....spending big bucks to out run somebody 2 times a year went away for me when I hit 35 but if I can get beef on the brige down here I got a Super charged Jet ski that would bury his ass in the quarter mile .....Coug
