My '01 was called "Incentive" at first. Reason being, I had an agreement with my wife; I smoke one cigarette, I sell one bike (only buying one). I agreed before really thinking, but haven't looked back.

The next thing I know, she is calling it "Big Girl". Not sure why, but I'm not one to argue with her. After totaling that one, we haven't come up with a name for the '07 replacement yet. I have thought of "Blackie" because it is a Midnight Star and I really like the old radio show "Boston Blackie". Only problem is that I don't live in Massachusetts.

Well guys. I kind of think of her as Mother Freedom. That's because I feel like it's just within my grasp when I ride her.

Kinda like the song says...

Hey tomorrow
You're not so far away
Mother freedom
Will know you well someday

Check out a song by Dr Hook and the Medicine Show called Roland the Roadie. You'll see why I said warped. LOL They also did Acapulco Goldie, Get My Rocks Off, Freakers Ball, I Got Stoned and I Missed It and some others.

Exactly what she is... "White Noise".

Sometimes call her "Thumper", though, which is what she does. I go back and forth.

I think of her as Black Beauty.

My BIL used to call her Oprah after *you know who.*

I may come up with another name after riding her for a while, but for now Black Beauty or just Beauty suits her.

Papatoms name for his bike reminds me of a story one of my friends tells (babe)
you know when you call your wife or significant other Babe, and she thinks your being sweet...
kind and loving..
and your thinking about that movie with the pig...
it makes me laugh everytime I hear the word babe...

Curt....probably not to many can recall those days of yesteryear when A fiery horse with the speed of light, a cloud of dust, and a hearty 'Hi-yo, Silver, away!' The Lone Ranger!

The good guys always rode a white horse.....

"Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear... The Lone Ranger rides again!"

Now excuse me "kemosabe" there must ba a damsel in distress somewhere.....oh, thats Tonto.

Got ya.
I was listening to Lawyers, Guns, and Money by Warren Zevon when I saw your post. That's why I thought of Roland the headless Thompson Gunner first
I know the Dr. Hook song in fact I saw him in concert a few times years ago. Good choice by the way
