Hey PR
I had my bag hanging there http://home.mn.rr.com/muskybait/Road%20Star/7.jpg until I got a pair of prescription sunglasses crushed.
So now I'm thinking maybe one of the Yami windshield baggs for when I have my shield on. When i don't have my shield on the bag I have noe rides on top. http://home.mn.rr.com/muskybait/Road%20Star/6.jpg

Post edited by: Musky, at: 2006/11/29 04:55

when i bought a tool roll, i thought the same about bashing the mudguard.

i dunno if you can make it out in my sig, but i mounted mine with the straps round the risers above the headlight. it dont bounce about, but has worn the laquer of the top yoke (possibly due to being very full of tools).

when i get going on the paint, i´ll have to find a new location.

Had a tool bag on the old bike, it scuffed the front fender. Went with a windshield bag (Yammi) this time. Mounts up very easy, but not really big enough. Eye protection and a pack of smokes. Thinking about modifying a tool bag to mount on the shield like the stock bag does. That would give enough room I think. I like to put the wallet, cell and other stuff in there rather than in the saddle bags. Think it might work?

I have a pinched nerve in my neck that's affecting my shoulder and making my left arm go numb. Ever try to ride your Roadie with one arm? When I see the Doc and physical therapist I keep telling them they have to fix me by springtime.

Me too. I have two compressed discs (C4 and C5).

The C4 cervical nerve root runs to the shoulder, while the C5 root runs mostly down the arm. I don't have a loss in sensation but I can constantly feel a dull ache between my shoulder blades. Thankfully there has not been any reduction in motor function.

It has caused me to re-assess the amount of time I spend on the computer at any one time.

Good thing is that I no longer have to paint ceilings.

Doc

Sorry to hear that Doc, I feel your pain. My left arm/hand goes kinda numb with a pins and needles sensation, not too fun. I've also had a diskectomy/laminectomy on my L2/3 & 3/4. Spine surgery is ZERO fun I can tell you that. To be honest, if they could fix this with surgery I'd go for it though. I'm pretty tired of the whole thing. Supposed to be 70 today and 75 tomorrow and all I can do is sit and look at the bike.
