My '01 was called "Incentive" at first. Reason being, I had an agreement with my wife; I smoke one cigarette, I sell one bike (only buying one). I agreed before really thinking, but haven't looked back.

The next thing I know, she is calling it "Big Girl". Not sure why, but I'm not one to argue with her. After totaling that one, we haven't come up with a name for the '07 replacement yet. I have thought of "Blackie" because it is a Midnight Star and I really like the old radio show "Boston Blackie". Only problem is that I don't live in Massachusetts.

Actually, Shadowfax, "Shadowfax" would have been a good name for a Roadie, stallion leader of the Mearas in Lord of the Rings.

Actually, I was wondering where you came up with your screen name. Shadowfax is a musical group I like a lot as well.

My first Yamaha street bike was "The Bitch", fondly named after my ex.

My first Roadie was "JITOW", for Jesus Is The Only Way.

My current Roadie is "JOHN", as in the apostle. And my brother-in-law's Roadie is "JAMES", also as in the apostle. We call them the 'Sons of Thunder' (Mark 3:17).

Papatoms name for his bike reminds me of a story one of my friends tells (babe)
you know when you call your wife or significant other Babe, and she thinks your being sweet...
kind and loving..
and your thinking about that movie with the pig...
it makes me laugh everytime I hear the word babe...

Oink!

I sometimes think of Babe the Big Blue Ox.

I am the third owner of the bike I am currently riding and on the rear fender is the name "Sug" in a nice script font hand painted on. I am not sure if the first owner's nickname was Sug or if it is something he named the bike.

Also not too sure if it would be bad luck to pull out some warm brake fluid and wipe that right the heck off that fender.

so for now the bike is Sug (pronounced Shug like sugar)

Still trying to figure out the Roland nickname from the first page of this thread
