O.K, I know were debating on causes of
SVS but, I've had it for the last couple weeks, until I did the CVF..(curt valve fix). When I changed the oil, I got out 5 quarts instead of the 4qts. I put in it. I figured with the shock treatment and all the spraying of the valves with the deep creep, it was just all the carbon and gunk that got in the oil, diluting, etc. Well, I remember when I talked to
Yami HQ last year , they told me thier techs were unhooking the recirculation hose..(that puts the oil back over the rear valve)...and let the engine run till' no more came out the hose. Then they drained the oil and only had 3.3 quarts in the engine. They told me to only put 3.3 in when I changed it next time. NOT! I need a little more than that for cooling and such , so I only use 4. Now, After I got rid of the SVS last week and the bike ran great for a couple days, I got an idea..I put another quart of oil in the bike.

I know..I are a dumb arse, but I had to know what would happen. Now I have 5 qts. in it, and I headed for town. 20 miles up the highway and then about 5 miles of city driving....the rear cyl. was huffin' again! I could hear it plain as day. Not as bad as the little sound clip I put up earlier, but it was on it's way. So, I took it home (20 miles) and it was a little worse when I got it there. Drained the oil...(got the 5 qts. out)... put back 3.75 qts. this time, put a little seafoam in it and hammered the hell out of it. Within an hour it was gone.

Its been a few days now and no sign of it, even with easy city drivin'..which usually starts bringin' it on for me. So, just a note... 4 qt. limit is a must! And the proper jetting must be done to keep it away.
