#125679 vpower (User) Fresh Boarder Posts: 12 AIS removal vs sound quality 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago   Hello, the winter is coming so probably I will start to play with my bike. I would like to remove the AIS from my ride but the question is: how it will influence the sound quality? I have the LongShots HS on it and I don't experience any backfireing so that's not the reason to remove AIS. The reason will be clean look without all those cables hanging arroud the engine but if the sound quality will become worse, then I will keep the AIS on my bike. What's your experience with AIS removal vs sound quality? Best regards from Europe. AIS injects air into the cylinder to improve emissions and that can cause popping on decel. That little puff of air in both pipes added a kind of a "fluffing" sound, and when I took it out, the exhaust now sounds a bit more solid, with a little more "bass" to it. My wife noticed the difference too.
