MUSTANG SEAT ADVICE 5 Years, 5 Months ago
Looking at a Mustang Seat Set w/driver back rest. Any one out there have some comments? Does it move you forward much? I am 6', 215lbs but I like sitting back.
I don't mind the stock seat, I'm just thinking a seat you sit IN and not ON might be more comfy. Plus my wife says the stock rear seat is to hard. Gotta keep her happy if I want to keep buying goodies..

Bru--

I asked the exact same question a few months back, and the overwhelming consensus was that Mustang seats move you forward A LOT. I'm 6'2" 240, and I ended up with the Yamaha dual touring saddle, made by Corbin. Very comfy, only moves you forward a little. I did get some floorbard relocaters to move them forward 3" ana add a 10 degree tilt. Haven't got those on yet, but I've been using the Yami/Corbin seat comfortably without them. You can get good deals on that seat on eBay.

Hope that helps!

ROADKILL. I have considered the fboard extensions but wouldn't you also have to extend the brake pedal(Softbrake will do this) AND the shifter (don't know how this would be done)?

Hey Bru
Got my ext's here - http://forums.delphiforums.com/1602/messages?msg=143163.1

The brake and shifter both move forward with the boards. You'll have to adjust the shift linkage but no extra parts needed.

Thanks Musky. Cleared up a burning question I've had.
And we are hibernating here in the Boulder area. Big flakes this morning falling on top of what was still left on the ground. I'm gonna go have a smoke in the garage and stare at my bike.....

Post edited by: thebru, at: 2006/12/02 12:43
