Falling leaves are coming 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago
Pretty soon the leaves will be falling. Leaves on a corner can put ya down as fast as sand. Just a seasonal reminder.

Ride safe.

Cooler temps can mean faster loss of air in your tires also. Just another reminder from the cold riding states.

Thanks for the tips guys, checked the tires yesterday, but their isn't much I can do about damp leaves...and the road from my house is 1 lane hairpin turns about 3 miles long, and it looks like sleepy hollow thru there... I may not even chance it......Naaa

Thanks for the tip Musky...
I'm heading up to Orange County, New York this weekend and my cousin is letting me use his Fat Boy...
(I know it'll be a little redundant... me on a "Fat Boy"...)
But, now you've said it... it'll stay in mind when I wind through those upstate back roads, while I looking at the leaves that will still be on the trees...

I know a lot of you don't agree with me, but I have to tell you that I bought a full face helmet and I love the thing. Its been fairly cool here in the Burgh in the early AM and that Full Face HJC is really nice, if I had know it would keep your face as warm as it does I would have had one last year.
I don't care if you guys don't want to wear a helmet, just trying to extend my season a little.
By the way, mine has built in sun glasses...

For winter, I've got a 3/4 helmet with clear face shield. I also bought a microfiber balaclava that's made to fit under the helmet and it's long enough to tuck into the collar/throat of my jacket. I may break down and buy an actual full-face helmet. I haven't decided, yet.

If I do, and it keeps me warm enough, then hell... I'll ride year-round.

Thanks for the reminder Musky! Luckily most of our leaves are down and blown away already, but the alley still has a few... which lets me play a bit because I haven't been out on my dirt bike all year As for the full face, I only wore mine once and then decided there's too much drag on it (kills the neck with any kind of headwind) so lately I've been riding either just my helmet or helmet and a skull mask.. Been as low as -2 (C) which is.. somewhere below 32 farenheit Looks like potential for snow in the next while though, that'll put a damper on riding and I'll be *sniff* stuck in my pickup again At least I'll have a radio.

Cowboys like us sure do have fun, racin the wind, chasin the sun. We\'ll take the long way around back to square one. Today we\'re just outlaws out on the run. There\'ll be no regrets, no worries and such, for cowboys like us.

Thanks for the "heads up" guys.....

Yes, the leaves are starting to turn here as well. I was up on the Skyway and crossed into North Carolina at about 5200 feet above sea level, the leaves were starting to turn. I figure another couple of weeks and the colors will be at their peak.

Haven't gotten the full coverage helmet out just yet. Although it IS getting cooler at night, I am still wearing a mesh jacket when I ride. Won't be long and I'll have to bring out the winter coat and plug up the Gerbing heated gear.

See you on the open road....

Ride safe. Ride often......!
