Well Pop from what i can see on your bike they must have 2 different mounts, 1 for pegs and 1 for running boards. I will have to assume that, because where your saddle bag front bracket bolts to the frame under the side cover, I also have a bracket that holds my pass running boards. It angles back towards the p pad, they look like they might be peg mounts by the way they are set up with some kind of after market running board mounted to them. but they are not stock for shure and i will have to change my pipes, i have taken the mounts and switched sides with them and even been able to mount them up side down but the running board on the right is sitting in between the 2 pipes and i don't think the wife will like that a little hot i belive.
but i shure would like to see the mounts you are running if you could get a little closer shot of the mount it self. on mine not only can you flip the running board up in a stowed posistion you can even fold it back like a peg

Post edited by: junglebear11, at: 2006/12/15 06:36

You dont have the Yamaha passenger floormounts because they require different mounts
You have an after market passenger floorboard that mounts to the stock peg mounts
This puts the floor boards too high
and flipping them puts them low
I suggest you get the Yamaha setup and you have more options and a happier wife
Musky has the Yamaha foorboards and mounts
You wifes knees must be up around your ears ....Sometimes that can be good
Thats one reason ...with other than stock pipes... you can lower the passenger floorboards and worth the money to make the wife happy

Post edited by: Pop Rivet, at: 2006/12/15 06:57

Is your's an 07? If you look on the Yamaha site the 06 Silverado had Boards. I clicked on every Road Star model in 07 and they all have pegs. Wonder if they just slapped boards on the peg mounts. Just a guess.

My 2005 had pegs
They just went backwards Muskey from 2006 and make you pay for the accessory
The Yamaha floorboards are same for all years

Hey PR
The boards are all the same but if the boards will fit on the peg mounts then that might be what is going on. Don't know.

No Musky
The floorboards for all years require their own mounts and do not fit the passenger peg mounts
I already explained what was going on
He has aftermarket floorboards that mount to the stock peg mounts

Post edited by: Pop Rivet, at: 2006/12/15 07:12
