I have loosened it tightened it and still have the chirp I took the plastic guard off but do not see any rubbing marks on the inside. Today I had it on the lift turning the rear tire slow and could here it clicking and chirping while I had the belt guard off I sprayed the heck out of the belt and did not hear the chirp or click any more.. Thats why I was wondering about the belt or should I just keep spraying the belt with dressing.

Rono, you mentioned a "click." Have you checked to make sure your pulley nut is on tight. Also, I and at least one other person here is running without the rollers altogether. I went that route because I changed to a 1-tooth-larger pulley, and the belt was riding the rollers almost all the time and making for much racket. I just have to make sure my belt tension and alignment is up to snuff.

I had taken the nylons rollers off having read that in one of the other post but that did not help either. By the looks
of some of the bolts heads(like the ones for the passenger floorboards the are rusty) I'm thinking maybe it sat outside and the weather got to the belt. I am going to just ride it for a while and see if the chirp comes back I will then spray it again if it goes away over the winter I will replace the belt with a new one.I checked the nut on the pulley it is tight and the washer is bent up tight to it.

Thanks for all the info and suggestions.
