There was one at the gas station, yesterday. Looked like he was riding a Road King. Around here, you don't see many motorcycle cops... He said, "Nice day to be on a bike, isn't it!" I said, "Yeah, but I about froze my butt off, this morning!" He just laughed... Cool guy...

Man, that was crazy....but cool. More and more officers are seen here in southern maryland on two wheels too. We had a lot or rice rockets running up and down the roads doing wheelies at 90 and looking alot like the guy in the clip, but that seems to have slowed. Of course it might have gotten around that some of them went "splat" too.

Emu....for a minute, with all the round-abouts, i thought the video might be "down-under". I still recall my first encounter with one outside the airport at Canberra....I almost went into it the wrong way . It was a bit different driving on the other side of the road , but you get used to it pretty quick. I'd love to go back some day. We're starting to use more and more to ease traffic flow and accidents, but i think we make ours too small.

I love the sentencing....two years suspended prison term, two years suspended license...and costs. kind of funny he worked at a motorcycle dealer...the officer was probably so calm because "He's British"....they always seem to keep their cool no matter whats going on.

Well I'd say theres more to the story than what they said. Check how the "cop" handles the curves and the speed and rides just like the other rider. If I had to guess and its purely a guess I would say that its not a cop at all. Cops use any resource at their disposal. Poor Johnny who's on his third offense and needs a miracle to stay out of jail would fit the bill nicely. We need you to follow this bike Johnny. What better way to catch a rogue rider than with a rogue rider. They do it all the time in other things. Drug dealers turned informant, rocketeers turned police chase boy. I like the sentencing though. good job.

interesting scenerio....guess it could happen. I think it was a great piece of riding even if it wasn't a cop. Wouldn't he have to have been or, wouldn't that individual be in violation also? Better than a hollywood chase scene. lol

Good imagination...

The motorcycle cops up here in Canada are very well trained and many have chosen the profession cause they have a long history of racing bikes privately etc...most of them will dance their bikes .and leave you behind with just a lil ol ticket..

Yep. Most motorcycle cops are outstanding riders and very very skilled.

Oh there's plenty of motorcycle cops here, heck I even noticed (first for me) this year our "sheriffs" (not common in Alberta but are becoming moreso, essentially highway patrol and not really cops beyond that) have started riding bikes. I just don't want cops on bikes that don't at all look like cops and their bikes don't at all look like cop bikes.. not like a ghost car, but with no flashing lights, decals, etc.. nothing. Don't like the thought of that, takes away whatever advantage "we the people" may have.
