"I finally finished it"
You wish. I don't know how many times I've heard that one.
Good for you. I want more info. When you get a chance put up some more pics.
Did you do the 240 in the rear?

I know exactly what you mean Doc. 6 months ago, I thought it was done too...
--Painter clogged the tank vent, pressure built, tank split...
--On engine re-install, cracked tank reservoir cover gasket, turned a well built -Yamaha motor into an oil leaking travesty...
--Cleverly mounted shock air compressor hidden within swingarm, then discovered swingarm movement casued it to bust thru my custom powder-coated swingarm plate...
More pics on the nopork link
Went with a 200 tire to attempt better handling.
Trees have about 3" trail, due to offset correction. Handles OK.
Frame is textured silver vein powder coat. Welds ground, gaps filled with hi-temp JB Weld (which sustained the powder coat bake without fail)
Swing arm poilished, chromed, then powder coated, leaving the axle ends chromed (3 times to get that right#@!). Hours to razor off the overspray, very thick stuff.
Very tough fab work on the swingarm to mount the RC pulley/rotor caliper between the swingarm tubes; tabs slotted for belt adjustment.
Used DIY brake line kit (no leaks!!) and 2-pieced the front line with an Arlen Ness junction under the lower tree.
6" stretch on the tank and 3 re-dos on the seat to get the seat-to-tank fit right.
4 piston caliper and 14mm master cylinder, for marginally acceptable front brake.
Lots of other headaches, re-dos, problems, etc. etc.

Good man!

I don't want to cut the neck so I put on 4" extensions. The front is up a bit but it rides more like stock.

Nice. Can't make out the silver in the pics.
Swing arm poilished, chromed, then powder coated, leaving the axle ends chromed (3 times to get that right#@!). Hours to razor off the overspray, very thick stuff.
I thought they were some kind of new swingarm covers. Doing the belt guard the same as the frame was a good idea.
4 piston caliper and 14mm master cylinder, for marginally acceptable front brake.
I have the R1 caliper, R1 rotor and 14 mm MC. I find that I can lock the front end up.
Lots of other headaches, re-dos, problems, etc. etc.
I can relate to that but ain't it worth it in the end.

Very nice looking bike. You and Jim did a sweet job. I really like the hammertone finish on the frame and chain guard.
