Well, I'll roll over 40K on my '02 this year - around 6600 a year average. I've put more than that on it this season - around 8K - due to the gas thing. I'd like to bump that up to 12K a year. Right now I'm putting around 20K a year on my pickup and the price of gas is killing me. What I'd like to do is run this one out to around 60K, then buy a new one and make the one I'm riding now a project bike.

I will probably have mine till I leave this world. As long as the frame is good, you're good. You can overhaul an engine, replace a clutch, etc. It'll last you as long as you want it to. V-Twin cruisers have classic looks that don't look dated. Seriously. Compare that to a old goldwing. Those do look dated, especially the pre 1500s or old voyagers or ventures.

Mine's a 2002. When I bought 'er in August, she had 4,027 miles. I've put over a thousand miles on 'er already, and looking forward to many thousands more.

I have had this one about a year now. It had 6704 on the ticker when I got it. Today it is sneaking up on the 21,000 mile mark. Not too bad considering Colorado winters too motorcycle friendly. Still running stong...actually better than when I got it. Those miles are some hard miles too. I have definately put this bike to the test and it has performed flawlessly. Whether Im jammin 2 up cross country fully loaded or grinding floorboards in the canyon, it just runs and runs. Good fuel, good upkeep and some preventive maintainence should get ya a long long life outta the bike.
