#13414 StarMyram (User) STARVE to RIDE, RIDE to LIVE Gold Boarder Posts: 906 EFI? 5 Years, 5 Months ago   Hey I was just wondering out of curiosity, Has anyone ever heard of anyone putting fuel-injection on a Roadstar? I am surprised that no one has come up with an EFI kit for the Roadstar yet. This might be the only thing my Dad's HDRoadkKing has over my Roadstar. His EFI is pretty slick for cold-starting. I am wondering why he gets the better gas mileage, is it because of the EFI? Or maybe is it because my engine is 200cc bigger? ...Any thoughts, anyone? Fine tuning using a laptop the tweak the fuel system to me sounds a whole lot easier than pulling the thing apart to make adjustments. The EPA will probably mandate it soon. But you probably won't be able to tweak it. It will use codes only Yami dealers have. Hook it up to a laptop and send the commands yourself. Can you imagine all the tweaking a person would do to tune it to certain pipe/air breather setups. Some car models even have on the fly changers with memory settings for different conditions, that can be changed without a laptop hookup. This sounds very interesting to me, but having worked with computers for about 20 years, this sounds right up my alley.   Logged       The administrator has disabled public write access.
