Bru,

You ordered from Maxair if I am keeping up correctly from what I read they are in your area ...errrr Colorodo....I am leery of new orders with this much money tied in and I would like to know what you know of them the thing that spooked me was their company building pic on their site says its a future rendition of what the building will look like someday I figure with shipping and taxes if applicable I will save about 100 bucks so I am just weighing my options and looking for any input I can get .....Thanks ...... Here's the breakdown COUGAR. Hellrisers has them for $662 w/free shipping.
Maxair was $582 with $39 shipping=$621, $40 saving. Sounded good to me until I ordered and got hit with $28 in tax. I'm actually right up the street from them. This is the first time I've paid tax buying on line so I didn't even think of it. So my total came to $649, I saved a whopping $13.
As far as shipping times, I called HellRisers to see if they could get them quicker.
They told me that it was RoadHouse that just wasn'nt keeping up with demand, and since I had already waited a week with Maxair to just wait it out. Maxair does'nt charge your card till Roadhouse ships the product, so if Hellrisers would have been quicker I might have switched. However I got an email Wed saying they were shipped so it only took a week and half to ship, just nothing is moving around here. I hope to have them this week.
Maxair is a local company, thier main product is the MaxAir air filter system, supposed to be real good. As far as the pipes they are a mail order house with an agreement with Roadhouse, as are many web dealers.

COUGAR, my pipes arrived this morning. The Fed-Ex driver was delervering in his own pick up truck because he said it was to dangerous to bring the Fed-Ex truck down the back streets!!!! They look great and I plan to install them this weekend. So even with basically this whole region being closed down it only took a little over 2 weeks to get here. They are HEAVY.

Bru, put the pipes on, start er up. Back slowly down the driveway and you should melt a clear path to the street!

Good luck, the duals are very, very cool. Did you get the fishtails?
