HELP! Need help with with mirrors 3 Years, 3 Months ago
I'm sorry about this dumb question but, how do you remove the mirrors? I just bought a great new pair but for the life of me, I can't remove teh stock pair--I can't get them to budge.

Thanks!

Loosen the jam nut and unscrew the stem. The left hand side is a normal thread; the right hand side is a left hand thread, and works backwards!

This is what's annoying me, I can't get the freakin' jam nut loose--at all. I mean, it won't budge. What can I do to loose it up? I'm using a pair of plyers.

I'm using a pair of plyers.

It's a nut. Use a wrench.

If you have a small butane pen torch you might want to heat the jam nut. But heat it slowly and try to break it loose at different points. No need to get it hotter than it has to be.
