No, Cougar. All he did was undo the connector and then a few seconds later remade the connector. Not sure where that ground wire goes, but pretty sure it has something to do with the meters and panel since it completely shut down when the connector was opened. If you ever have a problem with the fuel gauge, and you want to reset it quickly that might be an approach. It's the white connector laying next to the battery and hooked straight to the battery post connector.

Yeah...building computers is my OTHER hobby (aside from the R*). I already have Vista...I love & hate it the 50% I have it running on my machine. Pretty slick...aside from the lack of drivers...but that's another topic in another forum...

They are kinda similar, though, since I'm always tweaking & tinkering, trying to make the focus of both hobbies run faster & smoother...

I'm going to postone going to Vista.

I have a build right now that causing me problems ...... seems to be running slower that it should. Spent most of the holidays trying to tweak it. Getting to believe it has to be XP associated.

I've had my Dell with XP for about 3 years now and not even a minor glitch.

A reason it didn't reset when disconnected the first time was it probably has a capasiter in it that halds a charge for 20 seconds. new air bags in cars are the same way you have to waite a min. of 20 sec after batterie disconect before playing it the area of the connectors. Why did it wig in the beginning? I wouldnt worry just ride it!! Al

Doc--

Do you have a Beta copy or RC1? RC1 hasn't glitched on me...it's the Beta of Office 2007 that REALLY concerns me...

Oh wait...this is supposed to be about R*s...hmmm...Vista runs faster on a white computer!
