Also, do you still have the rollers inside the front pulley housing in place? If so, try pulling them off and running it and see what you get.

If the sound disappears, you can check to make sure they're not worn out. If they're ok, clean them up real good and reinstall.

I actually pulled mine off altogether when I went to the bigger pulley. Got tired of the noise that went with the belt spinning them consistently.

Dude . . . please don't laugh ok ?? but English is my second language (I am from Tijuana Mexico) and honestly I have no freaking ida what the rollers are , or maybe I do , but don't know what it is because of it's name in english ?? do you have a pic ?? and thanks

have a chicken barbeq. take a hot greasy piece of fat & wipe it on the belt.

I had my pulley chromed last year, which caused the belt to glaze. one day it was driving me crazy, on a charity ride and thats all i could do to it. worked good in a pinch!

nowadays i just use a generic spray lube if it acts up.

No shit ?? really ?? I'm gonna grease that motha up !! hehehe will let you know how it goes

Chicken grease...

And you'll be trying to figure out why you're now being chased by every dog on the block...

But, then again. BBQ fixes just about everything...

Loko Tripper,

Don't have a picture, but maybe this diagram will help. If you take the cover off of the front pulley, you should see two light-colored rollers. They are just above and to the left and just below and to the left of where the belt goes around the pulley. Sometimes they come off with the cover, sometimes they don't. They are part # 58 in the diagram.

Loko,

There should be two. You can take them out without any problems unless you're running your belt too loose. If the belt's adjusted correctly, you should have no problems. I've put over 4,000 miles on mine without a problem so far.

Cougar makes a good point about checking the nut and washer. Mine was loose when I checked it (was missing the lock washer completely).

If I have sounds that are driving me crazy, I just turn up the MP3 player. Motley Crue has a way of drowning other stuff out.
