I like bikes.......all of 'em. I really enjoyed my Roadie , now I'm digging on my Liner. I think if one is either: A. judging others , or B. being judged based on his/her ride , they are hanging out with the wrong crowd for the wrong reasons , or they just don't get it. Motorcycle ownership is a very individual thing , get what floats your boat.......not someone Else's. I'm personally very impressed with the Star line , seems someone has been listening to what the people want. I applaud them for that. BB

I fell in love with the R* when it came out in 99'. Every year I would go to the dealership and get a new line up guide and just drool over the*. They even started sending me calenders every year. When the opportunity presented itself, I bought a used 03' Silver Ed. 4000mi. on it. I don't think I'll ever part with it. Could I have bought a better bike? I think not! My only other bike was a 79' Suzuki 1000L. I am going to get a different seat! After a 200mi. ride today, Dodge isn't the only one that has a HEMI!

The only thing that Harley has the Roadie beat on is resale value. Every Crackhead in town wants to steal one and that is one less thing I have to worry about.. ...If you let what Harley riders say about riding a metric bother you, then maybe you should go buy a Harley because if you ain't riding happy you are truly missing out on what riding is all about..Coug

Many thanks to all for the input.... just so no one misunderstands my feeling for my Roadstar.... I have road Harleys all my life..... sold my last Harley several years ago....decided to get another bike and saw this 04 Silverado at a price that was GREAT, thought I would buy it and get a Harley later.Bought it.... after I rode it a while, I decided I would never go back. Road a New Roadking on a demo day, and liked my Roadstar much better. Several of my riding buddies have Goldwings.. great Bikes but my Roadstar rides so damn good I just cannot see spending the money for a motorcycle with a Sofa on the back. Anyway... hard to get around the Harley Culture but in my opinion my bike looks great.... rides great. The way I see it... your bike is your toy... if it don't mak your "Pee Pee" stand up... get one that does... and my roadstar does.

Howdy yall I started riding in high school on a handa 160 scrambler great little bike drove it hard. got my draft notice and didnt like the idea of vietnam had already lost one frend and joined the air force still went to nam as a dog handler sorry back to toppic I then bought a bsa lighting, four years later family bkes gone and then 35 years later fell in love with my 07 midnight star. I have three brother inlaws that have harleys 07 and 08. their sister my bride of 28 years states the my bike is better looking than theirs and 10,000 cheaper. roadstars are great bikes yes the motor makes sounds but it will yank your arms off if you punch it.

I've had a few call me a harley want a be most are on sportsters or newbies. I have a bike that a lot of people can't figure out what it is. I receive more nice bike or how did you do that or where did you get that. I have put a lot of time sweat and tears into my ride. I'm not afraid to say it's a roadstar, but the tank and frame are the only parts I haven't touched. Maybe the question is when does a roadstar become a custom bike and not a factory bike.

Fairing FLH mod with pat Clark shield
beach bars
R1 brakes
mustache crash bar
Mutazuma saddle mu and trunk mod fiber glassed
lizard lights
custom rear led turn and brakes I made under trunk before Harley ( Was at an event Harley designers were looking at my bike and a year later they showed up as an acc. hummm)
back up lic plate and led brake
Fiberglass smooth front and rear fender
alpine quad speakers
bad boy air horn
wolo air horn
lowered with flip
gravity gas feed
made custom lowers chrome
Hogg Chopps lowers with glove box
cruise control
dyno 3000
vented gas cap
venturi lean fill
K&P oil filter/cooler
sun pro comp gauges oil mech o2 sensor amp tach
110 patrick
roadhouse 2 into one
chrome chrome chrome
adjure light bar and headlight
2 power ports
alpine radio the only radio that won't skip if you like cd's
hidden antenna
uhaul trailer pak for rear lights
alarm with low jack
dragon fly wind stops
ais removed
wheels and rims
Alright didn't want to hijack but when does it become something other than a yamaha.

I do have one yamaha label left.

As for the jokers that are so into labels that have to call me a harley wanta be how does my ass end look I've never seen yours I do tease my Uncle about the 100 buck club HD stands for hundred dollar part club!

What ever get over yourself and ride to ride and go buy your nikes, levis, and you can eat at burger king or taco bells 99 cent menu. I'm eating steak

I love how proud we all are of our bikes... That isn't something you can buy, no matter how much you pay for your bike.

Peer presure is for high school, keeping up with the Jones's is a waste of money! I live in "Harley Heaven" there are 3 dealerships within 15 miles of my house, only 1 Yami. If I count the bikes going past my house on a saturday, 80% are Harley. I test drove a harley, didn't like it! All the bells and whistles were nice, but my Roadie caught my eye, road like a dream, made my heart pound with it's quick response and I love the options, dress it up, or drop it down! I will ride it until I can't ride anymore. All those who fell to keeping up with the Jones's can TRY to keep up with me. YAMI is MY choice, and I'm as proud of my bike (even stock) as ANY Harley owner could be of their's.
