YOUR BIKE BELONGS IN THE GARAGE!!!!! I found out 3 Years, 6 Months ago
Let it be said, "If you pull your bike out, you better be riding it!"

It all started late Friday night when I spent 3hours doing a complete detail on "Giddee Up" (Thats my Roadie*). Of coarse Saturday morning ride was delayed with a Honey-do. Wife needed some pieces of wood cut for a holiday project. Not wanting to put sawdust all over my prior nights work, I put the bike at the end of the driveway. A full car length behind and a full bike length to the right of my wifes F-150. She asked, "You put your bike out by the street just so you wouldn't get it dirty?"
She was mocking my anal retentivness.
So bike down by the street, me in the garage working the table saw. No someone didnt plow into it driving down the street. No it did not get stolen why I watched. The wife tells me she'll be back after going to pick up our son. In the truck she goes, and turns the wheel, THEN backs up. Why she's making a 3point turn around in the driveway is beyond me. I yell, "No, no, NO STOP!!!"
As I watched her roll my bike over and park the trailer hitch on top of the crankcase cover.

I will say one thing, "These bikes are built really well."
All the damages consisted of:
gouged crankcase cover (no leaks, yet?)
Scraped up and dented exhaust muffler
Both mirrors came loose and swung around
scrapes under the right side floorboard, that I've drug on a couple turns anyway
right side passing lamp ring is dinged up from asphault
Fortunatley I had the windshield and bags off from the detail job.

The exhaust took most of the damage. That being said. If my bike comes out anymore, I will be riding it. My wife feels awful and is worried I'm going to rent a wood chipper. Accidents will happen, and this one happened with no human injury. Yet. (Just kidding honey)

So if any of you still have your stock exhaust laying around, I could use it...
I was one of the casualties of a Ford Motor Co layoff and dealing with my unemployment I need some roadstar therapy, and cant afford a replacment right now.

Any one try running these things muffler free? Restrictor needed of coarse.

Yup, you're likely covered!

And stock exhausts are cheap all over eBay for these things! There's a half dozen available at any given time.

Aw, man... That sucks. It should be a pretty cheap and easy fix, though.

I don't know about your local dealer, but I noticed that mine has stock pipes laying around everywhere. In fact they just gave my buddy a set, so you might just ask your dealer if they have an extra set you could have. Just a thought.

Check the classified section, I think I saw someone selling some a few days ago... Now would be a good time to hit the wife up for a little extra bling while she's feeling guilty...
