Stage 1 Exhaust Mod on a 2008 EFI Road Star 1700 3 Years, 6 Months ago
Has anyone performed the Stage 1 Exhaust Mod on a 2008 EFI Road Star 1700..??
I am curious if they have changed the baffle design in the 08 pipes. I am finding that all the aftermarket pipes only cover up to 07's and before. Did anyone have any problems after the Stage 1 mod. I am guessing if you do a K&N Air filter as well you may have to remap/reprogram the fuel/air computer. Any thoughts or experiences with 08's would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There has been a few threads about this, might want to do a search on it, you may find some helpful info...... just be sure you include the 08 or you'll get a whole lot more than you need...

I read the June 04 Stage 1 post. I was just curious how many changes have been made on the 08 exhaust baffles and exhaust system. Was the procedure the same for the 2008 as described? Did you air chisel the holes or drill.?? Any air noises afterward? Thanks. I just don't want to mess up my shiny new ride. It definately needs some more sound. I had a V Star 1100 Custom with the baffles removed and it sounded great. Thanks and any tips are greatly appreciated.
