Anybody using Marvel Mystery Oil?? 3 Years, 6 Months ago
Whaasup you guys !!

Quick question . . . is anybody using Marvel Mystery Oil ?? if so :

how much are you using on your gas tank ??

how much are you using on your oil ??

if I changed my Oil about a month ago (about 1200 miles) can I still add a little ??

or should I wait for the next oil change and mix it with my oil ??

by the way I am using 4 quarts of oil on my Salma (that is how I call my bike) how much are you guys using ??

if I add MMO I have to substitute 1 quart for a quart of MMO right ?? thanks

it is not a lubricant it is a petrol distillate that cleans carbon from valves and cleans fuel systems...

ya might just as well throw gas into yer oil as add mmo ..in fact if you ever have to fog for SVS...with mmo

change yer oil immediately after

ignore what the MFG say..

It will loosen particles and carbon if used in your oil that should not be in the bottom end. I have to agree with Pop rivet. I wouldnt use it in the oil. Works great in the gas, helps clean the valves.

I'll add you have to be very careful about what you put in the crank case. These things have a wet clutch and you never want to add anything like Slick 50 or DuraLube either.

Just to make sure, are you guys saying you should change your oil after using mmo in the gas? I've run sea foam the last two tanks...so, does it need an oil change now??

Nope. Only if you did a shock treatment with MMO. if you just run a cap full or two in each tank you are fine. the same with seafoam. I ran 3 oz. every other tank full in my roadie and never had a problem.

Here's my routine:

2oz. MMO about every other tankful, run the crap out of the motor and keep the revs. high when you ride. I hit the rev. limiter at least once on every ride after things have warmed up a bit. The engine gets full syn. on every oil change and no more than 4qts. goes in EVER.

Maybe this is overkill or paranoia on my part since I've got an '04, but I have no need to experience the nightmare that can be SVS. I'd rather prevent than cure. Bike runs like a top, so I must be doing something right.

Ride safe, y'all.

2 to 3 oz every other tank or when I happen to remember it. Don't use it in the oil (like others said). I put in 4qts of oil with each oil change and never even check it between changes. If its not blowing blue smoke then the amt of oil its burning is minimal.

on a separate train of thought, I really need a vacation. Heard some disheartening news at work today. got bummed tonight and googled how far it would be to ride to TJ. Heard I could live a week out there for $100 easy. prob would be getting back into the US everything I take out.
