Stebel Nautilus 1 Month, 1 Week ago
Okay... I've got this horn and I looked through the tech article. The tech article shows the Stebel mounted with the cylinder down and at an angle, but the instructions say that the cylinder must be mounted upright. Anyone else have pics of their Stebel install?

Thanks.

It needs to be installed with the air cylinder upright with a 15 degree lean in either direction or it wont work properly.I mounted mine using a piece of angled aluminum stock mounted to the bolt holes the AIS was removed from on the front...Coug

I have a PDF file with all the wiring and mounting instructions that I got from the guys at GPECUSTOM when I bought mine. Pretty much step by step install. Send me your email at fred_akers@sbcglobal.net and I'll send it on to you.

Re:Stebel Nautilus 1 Month, 1 Week ago
I created a bracket the bolts to the front horn mount and holds the Stebel in teh place formerly occupied by the weak Yamaha horn. I removed the reat horn and put a filter for the blow by in there and pliumbed that away from my carb. Use caution mounting the horn in front as the clearance when you brake hard is reduced to almost nothing and a front fender could get scratched and affect steering at a very bad time. A friend made some serious scratches on a VStar 1300 with the horn mounted between the front down tubes. It will work there just make sure you get it back as far as possible.

Thanks, Bob. I sent away to GPE for their wiring harness and bracket, which looks like it will be perfect for the Road Star and bolts onto the old horn bracket. (Rear horn? Where is the rear horn?)
