the kuryakyn tail light setup is very very clean looking

i have been messing around with an idea but wont get to get started on it til xmas time

bought a laydown plate on ebay for 20 bux...gonna try to mount tabs on the back of the plate, hollow out some bolts and try to reuse and mount the rear signls on the hollow bolts with the wires through the hollow part..got the idea from barons plate setup, but dont feel like i need to spend 200 bux on it...should be about a 40 dollar fix if i can work the plans out...

then i was gonna plug the bolt holes from the old mount with those license plate lights

' width='150' border='0' style='max-width:450px; ' />Thats how I did mine. I have a interated stop lamp and cut the wires shjort and soldered them and used shrink tubing to clean it up. The hardest part was dropping the fender support and bolting everything back up.

I have the Kury taillight setup but, it's for '04 and up R* only cause it works with the lead tail light. You could replace the fender though.
Here's pics of mine Kury tail section

Re:License plate mount 11 Months, 3 Weeks ago
For those of you that live in Florida or travel here. Three new laws went into affect on October 1st. First one is regarding wheelies. Second one is speeding more than 50 mph over the posted limit and the third is on license plate display. The one I wanted to key on is the plate 316.2085 says:

(3) The license tag of a motorcycle or moped must be permanently affixed horizontally to the ground and may not be adjusted or capable of being flipped up. This makes side mounted tags illegal and the fines for all three new laws are really stiff. First offense, $1,000. Second offense, $2,500 and one year suspension of DL. Third offense, $5,000 and 10 year suspension of DL.

FYI

Think that only applies to the swingarm mounts and such where the plate is vertical. Look through the rest of the reg. and see if it says something to effect of the plate being visible from all sides of the motorcycle as well. flipped up is an attempt to rectify the sport squirrels from flipping up their plates when they run from the cops. You should be good with one that is a bit laid back. Don't mail me the ticket.
