New Driver's backrest 3 Years, 5 Months ago
Just wanted to put up a few pics of my driver's backrest I built. I still have to finish welding it completely and go have it chrome plated but I think it will work great!!!!

I wanted to make it look like the passenger backrest and took some ideas from the different backrests and built this one. It took a while to build it is made of 3/4 solid rod and bolts under the front bracket to the rear seat.

Nice job BM I did a few myself until I finally sprung for a complete seat set. I sold my old one on ebay real quick. If you do a lot of long distance riding I am sure you will be wanting new seats.

Nice!! You've got skills!! I cut down the metal bracket of mine last night and dropped it an inch and a quarter. It actually matches the sissybar better, and makes the overall profile of the seat look lower. On the back of the Corbin, where the star logo is embroidered, I would dearly love to stuff a whole bunch of padding right there, though. THEN it would be the perfect seat!

Your backrest looks really good. Nice job!

I like it! Looks like it might even provide a hand hold for the passenger. Throw a pouch on it and it's gold.

Beautiful job! But if it's made out of 3/4 solid....how heavy is it?
