This isn't an answer but it's something to check out. He still has the seat. And there is info on a backrest.

Jetmechanic,If you could ride someone else's bike that already has a drivers backrest just to get a feel for that position, I'd recomend it. I'm a bigger guy (6'4", slim, trim 330), and HATE the way a drivers b/r confines me. I love Corbin seats for their firmness,(same reason some hate them), But they give all day riding comfort. If you don't find you need a drivers b/r , more seats are available and cheaper. My .02 cents.

Personally, had a Mustang, and loved it over stock, but for REAL mileage, the Yamaha(corbin) dual touring saddle with adjustable driver backrest that is on my 03 Silver Edition is better. 6'2" 245 lb. BTW, what kind of jetmech? I work corporate in Dallas TX.

Post edited by: jd750ace, at: 2007/01/12 13:41

Bought the Mustang rode it 20 miles, took it off and sent it back. Pushed me so far forward I was uncomfortable...I was 6'2" and, uhhhh, big boned then

Funny thing is, I've lost 60+ lbs snce August and the stock seat is real comfy now! Who knew that the seat rails do not HAVE to be felt through the foam

Regards, Ted

The mustang seat for the driver is not much of an improvement over the stock seat but the passenger seat is huge and I mean huge It's the size of pizza box.
