build update 3 Years, 5 Months ago
here we go, a few photos from this morning of the bare metal build after the homologation tests. all tests passed with no problems.

and yours truly, posing

the pipes are standard harley pipes for the tests. iīve got a lovely set of high level pipes ready for the final build.

itīs going to be like this at least till the middle of jan when i get the first papers through, ten another dept of transport test, then itīs strip down and paint, and will probably be finished late feb > early march.

i had to ride it for the tests, and it rides really well.

a bit low for my liking, but there ya go .

the tank actually holds 3 gallons, so it ainīt that bad. by the time iīd have consumed that, iīd be ready for a coffee and a smoke anyways

less is more

the running boards will be ditched in favour of a set of forward controls in the final build, so itīll look even slimmer.

i like the look of a lot of engine with very little attatched to it.

I like the build Erizo has an old classic style look to me.One question....is a homologation test like our inspection here where you have to meet certain standards to put a built or rebuilt totaled vehicle on the road legally....Coug

itīs pretty well a permit to print money for paper pushers . cost 2800 euros

itīs basically making sure a newly built bike conforms with the construction and use regs for the country itīs built to use in.
the next test is pretty much the same (approved lights, working brakes, emissions, noise level) but only costs 20 euros.

bugs me somewhat, seeing as if i was back in england i could have the bike tested and registered for around 120 GBP
