It's not "what" you ride, it's "that" you ride.

I think i would really like to do a 650 yama bobber with hard tail frame. Maybe build it for my son. XS 650 was my first street bike way back in the 70's. Wow that was a long time ago. Anyhow always wanted to build a bike.

I am actually working on an xs650 bobber right now. Instead of hardtailing it just yet, I'm going to stretch the swingarm. Maybe look into a hardtail later on.

I'm with midstar07, if not an exile or a redneck engineering bobber it would be a KTM650 with hard bags set up for touring. Those KTMs are awsome, so much that the military uses them. Almost thought about trading my R* for 2 KTM650s but just couldn't do it yet?

With money being tight right now and I already have a Suzuki Boulivard S83 with a Voyager trike kit (actually the wifes bike),,,I've been looking for a cheap older bike that I can do a bobber project or possible a cafe racer with depending on what I find......I have my eyes on a 1985ish Yamaha Maxim 1100 Midnight right now that an old friend of mine has sitting in his barn,,this bike has 10,000 original miles but has been dropped. Has some frontend damage and the engine side case took some road rash and has a hole in it. He wants me to get it out of his way and just get it out of his barn, so I will be looking for engine parts after the first of the year, If I can bring the engine back to life I will be building a custom out of this bike!.....
I may put this project on hold for a while, my daughter turns 15 next month and I have purchased a 91 Mazda Miata that needs some work, so I have a year to get it ready and painted for her 16th birthday! Sharp little car, she knows nothing about it, keeping it at the shop at my work! Can't wait to see her face when it's finished!

If money was no object and I had space in my garage, I'd fill it with a Goldwing.

I am currently torn between a HD Road King Peace Officer Special Edition and an Electra Glide Ultra Classic.

Momma says I am not getting either one. We'll see

I'll take Doc's Roadie!

Seriously though, I pretty darn happy with my *. A few more tweaks like pipes maybe, but, otherwise very happy.

If I had a second to ride, maybe a Goldwind or a Venture for the really long ride.

Ratl.
