I've run soft bags just about my whole life and never had a problem with the bags, but I've always run HEAVY leather bags. I made a 200 mile trip once when the bag dropped and was laying on straight drag pipes with no thermal covers that were about 1,000 degrees and never noticed they had dropped that low until the return trip. No damage to the bags. Those are Roadhouse I presume? Freedom calls theirs sharktails where Roadhouse uses Fishtails.
