Seems people are seeing "EC" in the API circle on the Gold cap now. Just a heads up. Take it for what it's worth. Don't use it myself so haven't seen it. Not debateing oils. "EC" might not mean Energy Conserving.

Still trying to use up my cache of Red Cap.

If I remeber I'll have to check the containers around town.

Checked my stock of Gold Cap, I don't see anything with EC or the words Energy Conserving anywhere.

The local Target was selling the gold cap for $4.09 a quart. Bought me enough for 2 oil changes.

Check for JASO MA rating(no friction modifiers) for wet clutch use
