The Fury, designed by Walter Mitty , I have been following this I thread and although there are many valid points made about the design, most I agree with… I think we are missing the point… This is not about a “Motorcycle” It is all about “Image” Being able to go out and purchase a “statement” of who you think you would like to be. It’s about profiling and
not having to make much of a commitment. You pay, you play.. The Fury (being a Honda) is not a bike you need to get personal with, little maintenance and easy to keep clean.
It is a good looking bike, especially to those that do not know much about bikes and don’t look to close. Factory Custom is an oxymoron. The Fury will most likely have good sales, owners will enjoy them and have a good time feeling cool and watching out of the corner of the eye to see who is looking. Good for them and good for Honda, It just aint something I would ride . My old lady says she wants one !?
I have owned several water cooled, shaft drive bikes, two of them were cruisers.
For me personally, a “Cruiser” V Twin must be air cooled, must have a belt or chain.
Road Stars are REAL motorcycles.
