Indians.....again 3 Years, 4 Months ago
Pretty tough economy to be introducing these bikes again.

Thoughts?

Their timing is tough, but Indians have always had a "cult" following and it may well turn out to be the next "statement" bike for a few buyers. I wish them well in the new launch.

Theres more to the "Legend" of the Indian bike, they have to have stayed true to the bike or they will loose their following as well. Just a pretty paint job and a seat with tassels won't cut it, that bike has to be solid Indian! Not a lot of riders will have that sort of money to spend on a fake!

Remember what happened to HD when it sold out to AMF? Just because it said HD on it, didn't inspire it's following!

Hd continued to sell bikes... for awhile. It wasnt the purchase by AMF that ran everyone off. It was what AMF did with them when they got them.

$31,000 (ok, $30,999)? Holy cow. Makes me love my Roadie even more. I understand the "American made" thing and the heritage, but...holy cow.

No kidding. They are nice and all but you just know that after you spent all that somebody is going to say "Nice Harley" to you.

How true. And to me it doesn't even LOOK like an Indian. The one shot of the rear exhaust makes it look funny IMO. If I'm spending 30K its on a custom RS...... Oh yeah I did that already!!!

Wow that's 40,000 in Canada..Love the nostalgic look but for that kind of money I want a couple of metal tank accents not decals..I could buy 2 HD deluxe softtails, 3 Roadstars. And the comany is not proven..Seems like they are selling limited numbers to collectors and know they will never be mainstream bikes.
If I was rich I'd buy one

I've said this many times before.
As a rider who once owned a real Indian, those aren't Indian Motorcycles.
These are Indian Motorcycles
Some you can get cheaper then the new knock offs.

Their pricing is nothing but sheer insanity. Harley gets away with higher pricing because it's the outer edge of what the market will bear. Indian's pricing doesn't bode well for the longevity of the company. I wouldn't buy one even if I could afford one, because of the lack of available spare parts. God forbid having to go back to the dealership for servicing if they are pricing the bikes that high.
