I have to say I cared when my first full tank of gas only got me 80 miles. As you can see in my ongoing mileage checks, it is getting better, and is now getting into the range that seems to be closer to what everyone else is getting. I am posting this data for a couple of reasons.....
1. Because it was mentioned on here that there would be interest in seeing what kind of fuel mileage the FI models are getting.
2. Because this data is unique in that it begins with a brand new bike and is ongoing, thereby giving a more accurate picture of how fuel mileage on a new bike changes over time, and mileage driven. To my knowledge, there is no fuel mileage data anywhere on here that starts with a new bike and has as much information. For these reasons, it is my opinion that it could be useful to someone.
I am just posting info that someone posted would be of interest here. I tried to include as much data as possible so that it could be seen how mileage, driving style, and driving conditions would effect fuel mileage. Personally, I think it is interesting and informative to see how the different variables effect mileage. I will add that I have gone to considerable effort to post this data for the benefit of everyone here and I don't appreciate comments like "Who Cares". There is another thread on here that pertains to the same topic so obviously it is of interest to someone on here. It would seem appropriate to consider that we have many good folks on here and while a particular topic does not interest us, it may be of great interest to others.
BTW, all the fuel I am using has up to 10% Ethanol so it should not substantially effect the results.
